How we handle your information.
Last updated November 2, 2026. This policy explains what information Ubuntu Village collects through this website and how we use it.
Information we collect
When you donate. Donations are processed by our donation platform, Givebutter. To process your gift and send your receipt, Givebutter collects your name, email address, payment details, and any note you choose to add. Payment card details are handled by Givebutter's payment processors; Ubuntu Village never sees or stores your full card number. Givebutter's own privacy policy also applies to information you give on its forms.
When you email us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to respond and to follow up on your request.
When you browse. This website uses Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your browser type, device, approximate location, and pages visited. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
